I want to take ours off to get it re-powder coated (its starting to look 13 years old). Thing is, I really want to avoid just wading in and wondered if anyone on here had either done this, or has any insight into how it might be connected.

The two big areas are how is the base of the screen secured, does the radar arch need to come off as well and does the screen break down into three pieces or is it one unit?

Ok, so thats three questions but hey.

Piers will know. He took the windscreen off his, though you wouldn't want to copy his method /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. He ought to know how it is assembled though, if he supervised the rebuild of his.

I would suggest that you just get the frame powder coated. it might be a bit dark if you do the screen as well.

Swinge, Alderney: Bow went down. Water went up. Everything went smash. Glass and water everywhere. Lifeboatman said "We don't go there. We just wait for the bits to wash out the other end."
