Anyone ever heard of a C.A.N alchol stove ?

C.A.N Original SRL is an Italian company and they make what seems to me like an Origo but at half the price, anyone ever heard of them , can give opinions ?? cant find anything on google.

Here in Oz the methylated spirits stoves have been around for a long time. However they are generally not like the Origo at all. I have not seen an Origo bit from descriptions here they seem much different.
My single burner stove has a tank at the back takes about 1 litre of fuel. A pipe runs from this right through the burner to a jet. There is a screw in valve on a long shaft back near the pump exit. The jet has an air venturi to a larger pipe into the burner diffuser. Under the whole burner is a cup. So you turn the valve on fill the cup then shut off the valve. Light the cup of spirit and wait for the burner to heat. When the spirit in the cup is almost dry open the valve. The spirit in the pipe will be hot and vaporised and eject out of the jet taking air in and so feeding this to the diffuser. There is your cooking flame. I am guessing that this Italian cooker might work on the same principle.
The advantage is that once the valve is closed the spirit is sealed into the tank so does not evaporate or smell.
Cooking of course is no where near as powerful or quick as gas but very safe.
My guess is that the Italian cooker may work on the same principle. Certainly simple for maintenance.
New price of the Maxi is just crazy however here is one in Sydney might go for a decent price. I don't understand his concern about shipping if the tank is drained.
