Further to my previous post, SWMBO and I are hoping to put all the good advice received into practise and catch lunch on Thursday...just wondered if anyone else was going to be around to offer hints and tips on our technique?
Should be departing Gosport marina midday-ish and heading just out to the forts or mid-solent area, so if you happen to be passing...the forecast is good! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Don't forget a lug, bucket of soapy water and a rag.

you'll realise what you need these for when you catch a few /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

def;plastic box/storage for the use of/available at all supermarkets and B&Q
you do not want fishy bits and blood everywhere otherwise the cleaning lasts longer than the fishing /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Unfortunately I don't think we'll have time to stop or detour, otherwise we would have at least come by to say hello, but myself and a colleague have a meeting in Southampton Wed eve, and thought rather than sitting in a traffic jam in Lyndhurst, it would be much more responsible to take the boat as it's only a few minutes walk from one of the Soton Marina's. Good luck with the trip, let us know how you get on, hopefully bump in to you some other time :-)
