Anyone changed a Gimbal baring?

I'm getting a slight grumble and vibration from the back of my boat, it's not a big thing but I am beginning to notice it, or I "think" I am. In the belief that prevention is better than cure I wanted to check it. Anyone done this? Bravo 3, I guess I may as well do the bellows at the same time...I've got the special tool to remove the rear part of the outdrive and can borrow an alignment tool for the baring and so on...

Just wondered if it could be done in a day or not, and if it's a pain, I might get a pro to do it.

cant offer any help but our local engineer said 4 hours to change bellows on B3 (£160 labour £70 for bellows)

Yeah, did that over the winter and they seems very good, re-greased them. But I'll take another look for sure.

Totally agree, 4 hrs is a rip off or he's not very good.
I never remove the gimbal housing, I just pull out the old spring in the bellows, then collapse them in and pull them out through the hole.
Clean the flange with acetone or similar, take the spring out of the new bellows noting where it starts and the direction it goes in the grooves, place the new hoseclip over the flange then apply bellows adhesive to the bellows make sure 'UP' is up, and push down on the UP mark and fold it into a heart shape and push them back in, they will open out and with a screwdriver on the inside ease them over the flange, locate the clip and tighten.
Then reinsert the spring and finally the ally ring to lock them in place.
You may have to swing the steering from side to side to get access but it is easily a one man job.
