Hi Guys.

I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone has a boat berthed locally.

I occasionally sail from Portishaed with a friend and would be interested in meeting up with local people.

Cheers..

If you get down to Cardiff, drop us a line. You'll be welcome at Cardiff Yacht club.

We're away for a couple of weeks, but there are plenty of others around.

Hi activesail

We have our Bav 30, Tickety Boo in Portishead. As we're also new to the marina (and new to the area, come to that) we'd be very pleased to meet you. I will be down there tomorrow (Sunday) doing a bit of bimbling. Berth D30 (approx!).

Thanks Alcyone, I will defiantly take you up on that offer.

Sorry trapezeartist, I couldn't make Sunday. Had to take the old girl out for a romantic dinner. haha!

It will be great to meet up though, I will send you a pm when I am going to be there again.:)

Sadly no more sailing for me, turned to the darks side and now have a mobo. You definitely will know when I am on board - well running the engines anyway - wait till visibilty drops to 5m :-)

Still looking on the bright side we did have a cracking trip over to Cardiff this weekend in glass like conditions. Lunch, beer & watch the rugby at Mermaid Quay and then superb sunset trip home. Perfect.

I thought you would have a good run. Enjoy the lift and cleaning.

Yes cheers for that. It was a top trip, if it wasn't for the temperature it could have been the middle of summer. The fun starts this weekend, engine service afloat then crane out a week on Friday.

Good man, I will be down on Saturday again getting her ready for the new season, watch out now is when you spend loads of cash on bits for the boat. Or maybe it is just me as she is a new boat and I want her just right from day one.

Portishead

We will be moving to Portishead in the next 4 weeks (weather and work permitting)
Looking forward to having the boat closer to home and getting more sailing in.
