We are thinking of taking the boat out in London on new years eve to watch the fireworks, I have read the Notice to Mariners M69 and contacted the Met police to register for a license.

Has anyone on here done t in previous years and what you did regarding mooring and any exclusion zones that were in place.

Theres normally an exclusion zone so you can't get anywhere near the fireworks I think.

Actually reading the notice mariners if you get a license I guess you can be there but the timings would be difficult if its not high water around midnight, best way would be book a mooring at Imperial Wharf or Chiswick pier.

Never done it, as it was always too much trouble!

I'd suggest that getting a berth would cost you a King's Ransome.
All I could recommend is contacting Woods River Services and/or CPBS, but I would suspect that any good berths will be being used by the Class V's.

I hope you find a solution.

Club (and forumite ) member did this few years ago .
We did consider a visit to St Kats dock and a walk up the river bank for a decent view
Mooring prices are the same as normal and if you go in for a week not that outrageous.
However the tides are all wrong .

Humm , FRED DRIFT ERE on a somewhat sour note , sorry , but been on River Patrol over part of New Years Eve Celebrations many years ago . can be a rather unfortunate time for that visit , as the Jumpers oft 'jump' in the period approaching Christmas and New Years Eve ; oft the 'Jumpers have financial problems , prob being the Treasurer of Clubs or Work savings clubs ; the realisation that the 'books' cannot be balanced . Tis oft a very sad time for those 'working' the Thamnes , sigh
