Took youngest son for his first sail on Cornish Maid this morning. But it was a tad windy. 12-17 knots in Haslar, which is sheltered, but wow, 22-25 outside. Not for the nervous disposition, (son and spaniel). Consequently had to be good and only set a small bit of genoa. Also had to be back in before HW, as there was a Westerly blowing with a rising ( east-going) tide. Would be quite rough now- wind against tide.
Sadly work tomorrow. If it wasn't for this boat, I could retire again.
So,was anyone else able to have a thrash around today?

Yes - just been for a very wet thrash down Chi Harbour, 20+kts gusting 37kts by the time I got back to E Head around 3.30pm, and CG were giving local conditons F8 at MRSC Lee on Solent at 1.45pm

Nice.....?
