Hi all,

Trying to establish if anyone on this forum is based out of Rockley Park. I have my new (to me!) boat down there and would like to get to know anyone else based there. Most of them including me are in the racking so a beer with my neighbour on the pontoon is unlikely! Mine is a Sea Ray 260 Sundancer, if anyone recognises it.

Hoping for our first trip out this weekend if weather improves...mmm.

Cheers for now

Hi
I am. I have a 24ft wooden varnished finesse. On dry land at present trying to dodge the rain clouds to get more coats of varnish on. Hoping to get back on the water in another two weeks!!! I am working on the boat most days so say hi if you are down

Hi Adam

you wouldn't be the Sea Ray that was due to go in some time back..............I was on the cradle next to you at the time?

in any event I am on the end of the pontoon - pop along and say hi anytime

Hi Overdraught, We're up the river Frome towards Wareham - near Ridge Wharf. If you see us at Arne, Brownsea Island or in the Solent, knock on the side for a glass of something...we're pretty sociable!

On the river too.

well at Ridge Warf at present being restored, hopefully "in" by late summer.

do i feel a pub visit coming on???

How did I miss all that lot.

I can'tseem to find the beginning of the thread. Presumably it's a general get together, what are the arrangements in a nutshell?

I may still struggle to get there as it looks as though I'll be single - handed unless I can persuade my son, heir, and idle student to come.

By the way what's the weather going to do?

It's a BH on Monday so presume it will be wet..........

Seriously though last time I looked it was shaping up as between SW and NW over Sat/Sun so the run over Poole/Christchurch bays wasn't an issue. Tide flooding 'till late morning so an early run arriving in good time to get into Yarmouth somewhere for Sat night all suits well. Morning run back Sunday will have wind with tide too.

Hi Duncan,

Yes, you're right, I was meant to be enjoying my life savings over easter weekend but events overtook...not quite 100% sorted but good enough to use as long as i don't mind the boat not being as immaculate as she was!

Maybe see you at the weekend?

regret I am camping in the new forest - despite the van at Rockley let alone the boat!

Planning on a ferry to Yarmouth for the big forum meet Saturday and the weather is now looking nice for the rest of the weekend

the following one is looking fantastic - if so I will be heading to Alderney Friday evening returning Sunday

After that it should be normal weekends - parties on the pontoons or the beaches every Sat etc!
