Idly looking for a way to make a mint from the marine world (again) and came across this. Seems a bit of a punt as its not even got planning permission yet, but mebbe as there's Royal support it'd go through on the nod.
Before anyone asks, no I'm not progressing this one myself /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

OK you've talked me into it. I'm in if you are. Us architects could do with a bit of work at the moment. Who knows, "this time next year Rodders we could be Mealyonairs!" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

"150 boats of up to 10 metres in length" - I can see that being a huge issue

So even if I owned it, my own boat ( a modest 13.8m) would not fit. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Could this be Plymouth? an area that is under consideration for protection by the city council? That might put a spanner in the works, or it could help?
PCC comment.
Cattedown, Reclaimed land and old CEGB wharf (New Protection)

It says 10 mins from city cntre, 5 mins from A30, and half a mile from open water, but there's nowhere that fits all those critria. If we assume they got the city bit wrong, and it's a town, then that leaves Penzance, or at a push, St Ives, but can you get half a mile from open water in either of those?

Actually I reckon its probably somewhere around Falmouth, and the info is just wrong, or even more likely the Cornwall side of Plymouth, and they mixed up the A30 with the A38?

Just south of Truro fits the criteria. 10 mins from city centre, 5 min drive to the A30. It says tidal estuary and 0.5 nautical miles from open water but by open water they could just mean the larger part of the river?
We could just phone and ask. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Can't have done much dealing in New and Used Luxury Powerboats if the total sales revenue was only £402,700? That also makes the asking price somewhat ambitious too. Still, could make a nice hobby business for any forumite with time on their hands /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There's already Shorestore up just befor the bridge, yachthaven marina and dry stacking. Can't understand the 10m restriction bit. Also nowhere near the A30.

"The Owner is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business and occasionally gets directly involved in boat maintenance"

It gets more attractive all the time, it has sales of £400k a year, and even that is down to the guy who's selling up and leaving! Potential buyers, form an orderly queue /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
