Just tracing family history and this boat name was on some clothing in an old photo. So far we think it was built in 1850's, clothing also had RVYC (Royal Victoria Yacht Club) and belonged to a Lord Londsbourgh. Does anybody know anything more about this yacht and its history?

Cheers

Is this you searching for info, or someone else?

"Can anyone identify this young man? He looks to be a crew member on the URSULINE (vessel Reg No 21686) which was built in 1858 by Inman's of Lymington for Lord Londesbrough. In 1869 owned by H Villebois by 1899 the yacht was sold to a foreigner. His jumper has the initials of the ROYAL VICTORIA YACHT CLUB on the front of it. The photo was found amongst family photos of the GREGORY family of Ryde. We have looked at the available crew lists and didn't recognise any names. Any help greatly appreciated please send your answers to Sue Lawrence, IWFHS Member 1734 "

This is our cousin searching for the same information, just thought trying here might broaden the search. Was hoping to get a picture of the yacht.

I've had a good search of what is available on the internet, and there is very little it seems, other than what you have already. It will be down to personal knowledge now I suspect, and it might be worth posting this on scuttlebutt, as classic forum is less read than scuttlebutt.
