Anybody got any info on cruising the italian west coast

Havnt completly decided which way to head after weve done a couple of weeks on the french coast
Weve got 5 weeks in total so may head to spain and balearics or may go to rome to see the sights any body been that way nobody on the forum ever seems to mention it.
The tuscan islands sound nice and theres nice cliffs all the way down according to the pilot guide with rod heikel

Picked up my boat in Salerno (South of Naples)... Very nice coastline, but as we did it as a transport route, we avoided Rome.. Amalfi coastline very nice indeed, but Capri very commercial in July/August ..... and expensive. Crossed over to Corsica half way between Rome and Livorno.... then towards Marseille, so very limited experience of the coastline ... but have some.
