Hi there, we are looking for a gangway, normaly you see a lot of hydraulic gangways, but has anybody experience with a electric gangway?
it is cheaper and lighter as the hydraulic one, but can not lift that many kg out of the water.
our main purpose is to come on-board the boat without jumping :)
On dimensions we think we need a small one, 1.20/2.00 mtrs long load ±130-200 kg when standing still.
We don't see a used one on the internet.
Any thouhts or comments are welcome,

Ronald

Hi I've spent two years trying to find an economical electric paserelle/ gangway for my Bertram without success. I did have a variety of quotes for a custom made unit from engineering companies in the UK and Greece but it worked out more expensive than buying a bells and whistles off the shelf Besanzoni hydraulic unit. £5000. The key problem was the power requirement to drive the up/down, in/out mechanism and the inevitably sun and saltwater environment.
What I am doing now is building a lightweight hydraulic hybrid. I have a powered ram raising and lowering a two part 3 metre manual Besanzoni paserelle. To make the separation of the two parts easy I am fitting gas struts to take the load which allows the two sections to move independently of any significant power input. So far it's worked out reasonably straight forward with an expenditure on parts and fittings of £450. I will be fitting it third week of April. If you want to know more just ask.

If you are looking for a light (10 kg) and not-so-expensive gangway (i guess approx 1000€), maybe this one i carbon fibre composite would be suitable? It's foldable and really cool looking. However, it is completely manual:(

good luck!

Interesting project - any chance of a build thread?

Cheers
