Going West slowly: Falmouth to the Canaries by Simon Fraser & Janet Gayler. Simon Fraser describes his journey from Falmouth to the Canaries, which took two leisurely summer cruises. Ten weeks meandering into the Spanish Rias and down the Portuguese coast to Lagos for the winter of 2006. Then on to Madeira and the Canaries this summer.

See you there.

Frayed knot. Sounds good. I stay at the CA occasionally, and the lectures I've attended have all been superb.

Re YachtMorgan, I'm sure non-members would be made most welcome.

Sorry not to have got back to you before the event - bl**dy clients!

Generally, non-members are welcome. You'd pay a little more than a member would, but it's only the price of a pint and a quarter. The current beer is The Reverend. Never had it before, but it ain't bad.

Last night was the last of the autumn series of talks. When the spring series is announced, I'll put up a link to it.

I thought they made it all look very easy and relaxed. Good talk.

There are other talks put on by different sections throughout the country. Check the CA website.
