My insurers want a condition survey & valuation before the 2014 renewal, so I’m contemplating getting it done this year as the boat will be out of the water in May. She’s a 53’ LOD mid seventies cruising ketch in pretty good condition.
To me, it’s a formality to keep the insurers happy, hence want to keep the cost down, especially if I’m going to do it a year earlier than required. Also, if there’s anything I can do to help the price (such as providing much of the boilerplate description of vessel etc) I’m happy to do so.
The ideal date for the inspection would be Sat 18th May.
So if anyone on here is a registered surveyor and interested in doing it, please drop me a PM.
Thanks.
