Hi.
I have some spidering under 2 stanchions, one port, one starboard on my new Cap Camarat. Jeanneau are going to pay for it to be repaired, it's nothing major but it needs putting right. The boat is on it's trailer in a yard at Christchurch, Dorset. I could tow the boat somewhere for repair, but it would be far less hassle for me if I could find someone reasonably local to do the repair on site. I did e mail two "Nationwide" companies but heard nothing back, I guess they must have too much business! So if anyone can recommend a good gelcoat guy/company that will travel I would appreciate it.

What caused the spidering in the fist place?

Thanks for the names guys, I'll make some calls next week and see how I get on.

Petem, not sure what caused the spidering, it is very light. It does worry me a bit as it has occurred exactly opposite each other, port and starboard roughly mid ships. It could have happened when it was taken out of the mould. With the boat being new I was told to give it a good shakedown to see if they get worse, it has 20 hours on the clock now and have not grown. One thing that's a bit annoying is there is no mid cleat for mooring, only bow and stern cleats. I thought about getting some fitted but that would involve quite invasive surgery to strengthen the area around them, plus it would no doubt invalidate my hull warranty. The boat was the 2013 London boat show display model, it left there after the show and sat in the dealers until I bought it. Maybe it had some heavy handed pulling on the rails, who knows. I'll try and post a picture if I can.
