Not sure how big your boat is.

Have you considered a Gosport Boat Yard mooring in portsmouth harbour. They even supply a ferry service to get to you boat. Or if you boat is not too big you may be able to get an along side berth (you will be possibly rafted up) at Royal Clarence Gosport.

You could try Hayling Yacht Co. , swinging and half tide berths in Chichester harbour, 02392 463592. (About £600+ for the summer, I think). Otherwise just ring around or visit the boatyards: Hardway and Fareham creek are probably similar in price, if any are available.

Hi

I too have my boat with Gosport Boatyard (GBY) they have loads of moorings up the west (Gosport) side of Portsmouth Harbour. They are mostly (nearly all) deep water swinging. Parking is free in Hardway and a long jetty takes you to where the ferry runs.. it runs daytime mainly with late nights friday sunday and Bank Hol mondays.. really nice not to have to use a tender! My boat is 29' and costs £900 /yr. Most morrings seen to be £400+ so the extra for a quick, handy, big ferry is worth it. Also has the benefit of easy 24 hr access etc.

If you go to the jetty the boatman (Jack or Jacqui) will show you around the moorings... there is a 10% discount on fees if you use the yard services during the year.

their number is 02392 586216. Gilly is usually answering the phones..

Richard
