Has anyone got a Tender 3 m or 3.1 m on davits and are you able to use the transom door ?

I currently have a 2.7 m and I want to upgrade but not sure if I will make it difficult to get on and off the boat while stern to.

please post here, pm or email

We have a 360 with a D300 Valiant rib and 15hp mercury on davits and it's not too bad although we do not tend to moor stern to very often. A little tight between transom and rib though when trying to get rib cover on. Need to be careful with davit loading though - have belly bands to help with load when underway.

It is on my list of things to check.

84 sounds good, are they standard , I would be pleased if mine were 84kg each.

Mine too are whitalls, have the extension that pulls out to stop the tender bouncing around.

The winch has rope, do you have rope or wire , I was thinking of putting wire on .

Thanks spider -3m , 15 hp sounds great fun /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif , I also use belly straps but the end extension bars are not really designed to take much weight.
I saw one bent 80 ' once after a rough trip round Cap de la Hague.

Think they are only 75KGS each? Did work out weight of rib and engine with fuel once and just OK. Happier now having belly bands in case of wire breakage. Have PM'd you too.
