Any info on Sampatiki in the Eastern Peloponnese?

Google Earth shows a harbour here and Navionics shows an anchorage, but nothing in Heikel nor on the CA's Cruising Reports or Cruisers Wiki. I believe that one or two folk here cruise the area, so am wondering what it is like, is it worth a visit etc?

Cheers, PT.

Tyros is in our plan but Sampatiki looks like a nice place to stop also. Can't find anything about it in any of the usual pilots though. It is discussed in some camping site web pages, and there are a lot of pictures around also but that's no help when you're turning up at dusk only to find the harbour is for residents of the village only or something like that and the bay is all boulders etc...

Will keep hunting for some info and if we do get there, will file a Cruising Report with the CA.

Cheers, PT.

Sampatiki.

Small harbour, just some small fishing boats. One deserted mobo.
Two taverna´s, village is nothing.
Is in fact a new seawall protecting a small bay.
To small for most yachts.
Mooring is Med style, can not recommend. Seawall ( quay) is build in deep water on big ballast rocks. Chance to foul the anchor.
No idea how protected against Se winds.
For unknown reason murky water.
Calm.
I like it. DSCF3512 - Kopie.jpg

It's in the Heikell 12th edition but not the 9th. He spells it as it is pronounced, Sabatiki. He says it is small and full of fishing boats but the version of it in wikimapia.org, under Sampatiki this time, seems to show a couple of places where a yacht might fit. We missed it completely when we were last in the area but it looks interesting.
