Any info gratefully rec\'d

New to the forum but would like to draw on the knowledge and experience out there...
Have recently purchase "Herald" a canoe stern yawl designed by E.P. Hart and built by Dyer Bros in Southampton in 1911. The design is "similar" to that of Albert Strange's Sheila but has a quite different underbody with the long keel and vertical sternpost.
I am looking for any information on the original design and rig configuration. She was changed to a bermudian cutter a number of years ago and I would like to try and return her to the yawl rig.
Any assistance much appreciated.

Congratulations. Sailed in Herald a few times.

I always thought she was 1907. Saw her as a yawl 20 years ago when the owner before the last changed her to bermudian as she had terrible weather helm. Or it might have been lee helm - can't remember.

Is she still in the yard at Tighnabruaich?

Thanks for the info. Interesting re 1907, all the info I have a present indicates 1911 but you never know...
Still in the yard at Tighnabruiach for the winter, few jobs to complete and then will be basing her up at Dunstaffnage.

Hope you get plenty enjoyment out of her. Herald is a very pretty yacht. I'll have a dig and see if I can find some photos.
