Having had a bad spill of diesel into the bilges of my Antares 760 the smell seems to have impregnated the cabin, bedding etc. Having tried the usual cleaning methods the smell persists - any ideas on how to get rid of it would be appreciated.

Or. Pop down to Your nearest Car Valeter.
There are some tremendous odour eradicators in theTrade now.
Dog/cigar/cigarette/ smelly vehicles can be brought back to smelling of roses.
Or most other sniffy horticultural delights!
Welcome to the Forum by the way.
Be nice if You would fill in a bit of Your Profile.
It's nice to know where people are at etc etc.

onions!
seriously cut several onions in half and leave them in a net bag hanging in the bilge for a week or so "voilla" smell gone!

Yep to Bilgex as Jez said, it is just a concentrated detergent so you don't need much, just a glug in a bucket swish around and mop it out.

If you've already washed it out with washing up liquid, try "Zoflora" from nearly any chemist, this is a sweet smelling disinfectant, it's even more concentrated and you can mask almost all smells with it. Costs less than a quid for a little bottle but it will be more than enough to clean up three or four times.

You also get a choice of fragrances, really great value.

Good luck.

the thing when bedding etc has been affected is not cleaning the bilges or masking the smell. Masking only works so far, you have to remove the source, or you will be masking for ever.

The cat urine stuff works because is eats the organic materials that cause the smell. Cleaning the bilges out is a great start, but removing the smell in the rest of the boat is the difficult part.

We had a failed injector pipe a few years ago which resulted in a few gallons of diesel in the bilges on our Antares series 9.
I agree with all the potions above and the clean up has to be done but the smell does get into any fabrics, even the acoustic material in the engine bay. So clean out the mess with the potions, take out any fabrics you can and wash them, then lots of ventilation and just wait for it to go away. I was really surprised how fast the smell started to diminish and was gone quite quickly.
Similarly I forgot about a bag of bait (baby squid uuggghhhh) that I left in the lazarrete overnight a few months back. Of course it defrosted and leaked under the fuel tank and into all those innaccessible places. Used loads of disinfectant and the smell was gone completely in a few weeks.
