ANY IDEAS PLEASE....

The flexible water tank in my Seawych is becoming porous. I know plastimo have a range, none of which are ideal for the space. Does anyone know of a manufacturer who might have other sizes or even be able to produce one to fit? The other possibility would be to re-waterproof the original...any experience anyone? Is this feasible? Any ideas welcome....

I have a Vetus flexible tank which makes the water taste terrible in spite of numerous flushings with Milton. Don't go there!

Do you have to have a plastic tank, stainless wont cost that much more.

I had a vetus rigid tank on a previous boat which was fine - they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes

Bin them and build solid tanks in situ.

I use Aque tabs and a Aqua Filer for the galley. Water there tastes fine but the water in the forrard basin ( unfiltered) is undrinkable..
Conclusion Aqua tabs purify and ruin taste.. Filter takes the purified water taste away..

That's just what I have found when I put a new tank in. I put Milton in the sterilize everything but the trouble was that I put extra in "just to make sure". It took months to get rid of the taste. It's fine now, but the moral of the story is to measure the stuff out accurately.
