call a couple of yacht dealers and convince them that you are very serious about buying a brand new forty five footer - you'll get plenty of offers of free tickets. You will, of course, have to visit the stand, listen politely while they tell you all about the boat and ask some intelligent questions. Be complimentary about the boat and tell them you are going off to the Barclays stand to discuss marine mortgages.
This got us into Southampton free - though we did subsequently buy the boat, so it might well have been cheaper (£84,000 cheaper) to pay for the tickets! Same dealer is giving us free tickets for the London show so that we can look at the 44 which will be our next upgrade - another hundred grand to save £20 of tickets -
