Am looking at a Fisher 25, and am wondering if there are any current owners who could give me a bit of direction on the following:

Sailing Performance - given the limitations of the design as a pure sailing boat, will the Fisher give satisfactory sailing for general pottering/day sailing, or are you inclined to be left with a sense of frustration?

Engine Noise - is the wheelhouse a tolerable place to be under engine, or is the noise excessive?

Rolling - does the boat really roll as much as is reported, or are they pretty similar to yachts?

Any comments much appreciated.

Not an owner but have sailed a few.

Sailing performance is adequate - better in the sloop but not many of those produced - it's quicker than you'd think but not fast. Not close winded but tracks well and feels much bigger than her size.

Engine noise will depend on the engine installed and the amount of insulation used - never thought it to be an issue.

Not noticed any rolling effect but the shape may induce more than a conventional yacht.

Being the wrong side of 45 I'd like a sloop with a Brunton autoprop.
