Loads of marks around the solent. Also soth side of the island. Did have a web address of the solent fishing forum but lost it when the old computer went tits up.
Give daviduk a PM he fishes the solent on a regular basis. If you get over to poole bay try the inner and outer patches or the xchurch ledges. They always turn up a bit of sport. Get out soon and you'll hit into the bream.
Got some good marks stored in the plotter but they closely guarded secrets!
Anchored on the sand bank off the end of the Needles last summer (if you have c-map chart it was directly over the first wreck shown in line with the Needles). Tried plastic sand eels for about two hours without a nibble, then caught a small mackeral whilst reeling in. Sliced up the mackeral and put some on a hook and all hell broke loose. We must have thrown back twenty Red Bream in not much over an hour, some of them quite big. Kept a couple to stick on the barby, and it was delish.
you have a huge number of choices available from Lymington from an afternoon at anchor fighting congers to serious bass hunting. what gear do you carry, or are you looking to axpand your stock?
