Antifouled the boat today (thankyou God/Buddah for providing at least one good day in the South West.
I always ear one of those one piece coveralls you can buy from anywhere.

Every year this happens:-

1) I rip the arse out of it in the first few movements.
2) I fondly think it is protecting me from getting antifoul on me but really it's acting as a blotter and transferring antifoul to me clothes underneath.

Incidentally , used Tiger Extra last year and it has done pretty well (Plymouth waters) but I think it's boast of doing two years is pushing it.

Easier surely to get some cheapish work overalls, I have had some which have lasted several years, doesn't matter if you get paint on them, and they are tough enough not to get ripped and let the paint through.

Mind you I also wear my oldest scruffy T-shirt and jeans underneath.

You can get a half decent boiler suit from SCATS for £18 - mine has lasted 5+ years . OK, it is different colour back and front now but I use it all over the winter for all of the jobs on the boat and it is still got plenty of life left.

One further point, most important is some sort of hat. Inevitably you stand up too high and make contact with fresh antifouling, blue hair is not a pretty sight.

Yes , I do wear a hat.
Although my boat is a small twin Keeler so rather than standing up , I am grovelling between the keels. I hate that bit
