OK, so this has been covered many, many times but not in the last few years...

The boat is a little grp fishing boat, lives in the marina and currently has Seago cheapie antifouling applied every year. In this specific environment it seems to be an excellent marine fertilizer...

The boat is used at least once or twice a week, only out of the water for 4-6 weeks a year. Boat costs (apart from the marina fees) are kept to a minimum, indeed the value of the thing is probably less than the annual mooring fee.

If I could reduce lift outs to once every two years it would be great.

So, what should I use as an antifouling? Reading previous threads it seems that Seajet Shogun 033 gets a lot of praise... anyone like to recommend something else?

I don't want to recommend anything else as Seajet Shogun 033 has worked very well for me - see pics in my post here http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?410305-Antifoul/page2

Like you, I use the boat regularly and all year round. She'd been in the water for almost 2 years when these pics were taken and was only lifted because of the fouled prop (apparently Navigators at Chichester have a good antifoul solution for that, but I can't (yet) vouch for that personally).

I had put two very good coats of antifoul on though with maybe 3 or 4 coats around the leading edges and waterline. I'm sure that helped!

Thanks for the input, would you know if Shogun 033 is particularly sensitive to what it is painted over?

Thanks.

I wonder if anyone knows someone locally who would do the job for me at a reasonable rate? Right now, lying under the boat doesn't appeal!
