My new boat has a dark green hull, a light greenish boot top, and white antifouling

Am having some difficulty sourcing a light green antifouling/boot top

Also white antifouling does no seem readily available

Anyone got any sources? - my fall back option is red antifouling and white boot top as per my present boat (which also has a dark green hull)

Many thanks

Gavin

I think any colour could look OK, except blue. I see plenty of white bottoms around but don't use it myself. Green hull and black bottom looks good, with a white boot-top.

White antifoul is reputed to be less effective, because it's hard to hide much copper in it without making it pink. With other colours the pigment can cover a greater amount of active ingredient.

Can't say I've ever bothered overmuch about antifoul colour from an aesthetic point of view - it's underwater where I can't see it.

We used white antifouling for years, then moved to grey and now blue. It does seem likely that the effectiveness of it has increased with each change. Red is reputedly the most effective but neither of us likes it much aesthetically.
