Evening all, am going to antifoul the boat tomorrow am (first time) have purchased cruiser uno for the job, and was wondering if it would be fine just painted straight over old antifoul, which would have been a blakes paint, do i need to rub old paint down etc, the panels thoughts please....

This may help ! if it's not compatible you need to apply a coat of primocon first. a quick wizz over to get rip of the rubbish before applying the A/F would suffice. Not dry though I find either wet n dry paper or those kichen scourer's work well.

I just give good clean with water and scourer then slap it on sticks like [--word removed--] to a blanket .Others will tell you to sand for days ...... Who am i to reason why ?

if you warm the can(ie room temp) its much easier to get it on with a gloss mini roller, but it does go on thin. As it gets colder, its goes on much thicker, and have alot of mini rollers, as the A/F seems to dissolve the sponge's glue. And use gloves, as this stuff sticks to you like hell!

Did the same this winter, Cruiser Uno is compatible with Blakes. As others have said you will need to abrade the surface first, wet scouring pads normally work OK
