Antifoul on propellor

a grinder with a wire brush wheel, about £10 for the wheel from b&q, the 90deg one is better than the one that spreads out at 180deg.
 
If you use a cable twist wire wheel you'll find it doesn't damage the metal. strange but true.

Is it more toxic then 40 Benson & Hedges per day and having an office in an asbestos building (thanks NHS, obviously not a PFI) if not, then I'll take a chance!
 
Make sure you get a stainless steel one NOT a ordinary carbon steel one. Better still use paint stripper to remove the morst of the paint then polish the prop with wet-n-dry to remove the last bits of the paint.
