Anti Fouling Success Story

I have seen some negative product / supplier reviews on this forum, so I thought it would be nice to share a success story !

I launched my 28 ft sailing boat on the River Crouch in early April last year, after applying 2 coats of Flag Performance Extra Anti Fouling.

She has been afloat on the Crouch since then apart from various trips around the East Coast Rivers and a 6 week cruise along the south coast last summer. (At least it was supposed to be summer!)

She was lifted out this week after 10 months afloat, and I was delighted to find no weed or other growth on the hull at all.. Just a muddy slime which would have come off with a lively sail.

Although Flag are based in Burnham I have no connection with them.

I was told by the lady in Marinestore that Flag is formulated for the Crouch but wouldn't necessarily work so well on the Blackwater becuase the salination and phosphates etc were at a different level.

I used Flag ordinary one year and it was all gone by mid-season.
