It's coming to that time of year when the boat will be pulled out of the water and yet again it needs to be polished and anti fouled. Can anyone recommend someone within the Portsmouth area who is reliable and EXCELLENT at what they do, they need to be able to work to time frames and be a good communicator.

Many thanks in advance for any replies.

The best person I know is Wayne from Gelbrite. While Midlands based, he is happy to travel, and did much of Sealines rectification work. He is a wizard with Gelcoat.

Try Martyn Dymond - we use him for all our GRP boats/show prep and any minor dings and repairs. A 100%V reliable great chap, contact details are on his website

He does great car prep but is also highly skilled on boats. He has done work for Sunseeker as well as many other private clients. Many of my customers use him for all their maintenance work inc anti-fouling.

My Guy is based in Fareham and maintains boats to a very very high level of finish and looks after loads of motor and sail boats in Haslar - Gosport - Port Solent - Swanwick etc from 20' up to 80'

Irrespective of the size and value of your boat the attention to detail he gives is always consistent and second to none and Matt offers excellent value for the work undertaken and turns up when arranged and on time which is unusual in the boating world.

Matt and his team undertakes the following works:
Exterior:

Full cut back and polish inc A-Glaze Approved - Gel-coat Repair - Monthly Wash Offs - Antifoul - Replace Anodes - Teak Clean - Teak Replacement.

Interior:
Routine Battery top up - Full interior clean inc carpets - re-polishing avonite - corian worktops - woodwork repair inc re-lacquering - head-lining replacement.

He looks after amongst other brands Princess - Fairline - Sealine Motor Boats as well as Yachts up to 80' in length and has worked for Sunseeker + Princess @ both London and SBS boat shows up to 100' + in size.

PM me with your number and I will tell you more.

Oh btw he is not a car valeter trying to move into the boating business which is a totally different market - I have seen these guys use soapy foam and jet wash - not good practice imho.
