Antares / Memory Maps

Hi - just registered with MM with intention of purchasing Antares - already got Navionics x2 - do I need to buy a MM chart package to run the Antares ( I'd like the little boat icon to run over the Antares as I rock dodge - intend to buy the download version of Antares then send it to the Lenovo and maybe an android phone - thanks for any help - bit of an IT numpty sorry! ( I've tried to sift through previous posts)

You can download OpenCPN for free and use Antares on your phone and/or laptop.

No I don't believe you need to buy any other charts just to use Antares on Memory Map. Antares sends a licence code for their local chartlets.
Many choose to buy the full UK set of admiralty raster charts - but not needed

Never used Antares but you made need a Memory Map "3rd party Maps" license.

Yes, but as mentioned above, Antares give you a licence key for Memory Maps as part of their package
