Apparently another 16 year old has sailed round the world,Laura somethingin what looked like a ketch,it was on the news .

She is sailing a modified Gin Fizz ketch, a 37' boat designed by Michel Joubert some 40 years ago. About 600 were built.

Wellshes done it! M Joubert designed some inovative boats IIRC .....and its 40 yeras old!

I think you will find she completed her RTW (via Panama Canal) in January 2012, a year ago?

I don't think her 'record' has been recognised as they are trying to stop youngest round type of records. Why is she back in the news?

To qualify for a RTW record you have to go to a certain latitude North. I don't think she did.
