Never mind Hunt/Bertram, Fairey or Levi....the real deal is Tramontana and Tramontana 2. The holy grail.

I understand that Tramontana 2 no longer with the 4 Jaguar engines is under restoration in Germany.

Tramontana was last seen rotting by the roadside near Anzio Italy a few years ago, I'm not sure if there's anything left, the most recent pictures look very poor even through my rose tinted bins. Can anyone find her? Does she still exist?

I was there when Tramontana 2 came into Torquay harbour for the first time. They were obviously having engine problems a TS started either 1 or 2 engines which had been shut down. There was so much smoke that the boat virtually disappeared from view.

The problems could not have been too bad as she was racing the next day around Torbay. A memory which will live with me forever is the sound of those 4 Jag engines, un-silenced, as she tore around the bay.

Happy days.
