I am idly perusing the vendee globe site. Ooh, what's that you're looking at on the internet, asks swmbo. Um, well, it's about er ahem er Flotilla Sailing dear. Oh, that's nice, where? Around the world. ooh, how much is it? Well, it's free but you have to get a boat, I think you have to deposit 20,000 euros though, for insurance, but you get it back. And do they provide the food? Erm , no dear, it's er self catering, and only one person on each boat so you can't come. Swmbo evidently delighted at this gets much keener - so when does it start? she asks. November 2008. So, well have you booked it? Erm, erk...
