Another navionics question

When i plot a route and start it, the box at top rhs is the next/selected waypoint, this used to show distance, bearing and estimated time to arrival, samewith the box at bottom rhs of screen, exceot this is the destination.
Now these boxes are there but empty, and i need to touch them to bring up that information, which is annoying to say the least. Is this someones genius idea of an upgrade or have i changed a setting somewhere?

Are you sure you pressed START on your route menu?

Its recording the track so i think so but i will double check that tomorrow. Doesnt seem like something I would do consistently day after day though.
