Tropical storm Emily seems to be picking up power, 1st time ever they have had 5 named Storms by this time of the year.

Perhaps President Bush will have to take notice on how the weather is changing if the US keeps getting hit by this storms.

very interesting our boat is on the hard (grenada)and we have had email saying full stand bye in progress
very early for such activity
the path also seems very far south
the insurers are not going to be happy if this keeps on at this rate

After Ivan they are very Hurricane aware in Grenada. I was there for a week and came back yesterday but Emily was just Tropical depression 5 and the track was much further North so didn't see any preparation going on. Are you on the hard at prickly bay marina? Prickly bay itself just round the corner was pretty full.

I'm now back in Barbados and we hear she's likely to pass 50 miles South of us. A lot of the boats are now out of the water but I'll be moving mine at first light with a couple of others up to Port St Charles on the north coast. Will be quite an interesting experience as it's going to be my first sail on her! I only put her in the water last week!!!

I like that the police have asked everyone who is refusing to evacuate their homes to write their name on their chest in waterproof ink!

BP are going to have a hell of a job putting this back straight!
