I have just seen the first pictures and review of the Fourwinns V458. I have seen the 378 with IPS and thought it too american in layout. A sentiment no doubt shared by others as Shepherds still have not sold it nearly 2 years on!

The New V458 has a better layout but the looks are...well.. Different

What do you think, at the right price could it make an impact?

Cheers

Not sure !

The hardtop arrangement looks very similar to a Searay model - and I've only ever seen one of those and that was in Guernsey.

Hydraulic platform could be a winner for them though.

Well, the boat isn't on the website yet, but by the time you add a HT, stateroom Bulkhead and covers tob their 378 you are looking at a US list of $436,690. Even at todays rate that is £216,183 plus VAT and shipping across the pond. So, with shipping the US list price in Steerling with VAT paid is at least £254,015.02. Ok, that is IPS 400 but that puts it up against the Absolute 41, Fairline Targa 38 and the Sealine SC38.

I don't think that is all that cheap.

Ugly on the outside and boring on the inside. Ludicrous bathing platform which appears to serve no purpose other than increase your mooring fees. Cockpit looks v small for size of boat. The inside is very reminiscent of a Sealine S37 I used to own. At £350k delivered UK, it's also a ridiculous price. This kind of boat should have sterndrives and be £100k cheaper
Non starter in the UK IMHO
