Having followed Angus McDoon's YAPP's I ordered a Crew watcher and other YAPP's from him but had a problem with shipping and we in South Africa was in the middle of a post office strike so the only way to get payment to Angus and shipment to me was by DHL or the like which in SA costs and arm and 2 legs.
So in discussion on the forum numbusgb made an offer to arrange his Mom to carry the package from Angus to his brother who lives in Durban where my boat is and I plan to go sailing November and early December.
My Daughter who was on her way to Seattle via London posted the cheque to Angus who posted to package to numbusbg who checked it for and illegal items and then passed it to his Mom.
We finally meet up on Tuesday and what a nice lady numbusgb's mom is and whats more, she used to be a sailer when younger even sailing across the Atlantic in to the Pacific following a lot of med sailing.
I am very grateful to Angus, numbusgb, his Mon and Brother for helping and this IMHO shows what in general a great forum community we have not only with advice but more tangible help like this and the great trailer relay that happen a while ago.
