Apologies, but I have another dumb "new to me" boat question... strictly speaking, it's a regular DIY/plumbing question, but I like to check with you chaps in case there's a boaty angle.

While cleaning and provisioning the boat today, one of the sinks in the galley fell way from it's corian/avonite under-mounting. No disaster.

Can anyone recommend the type of sealant/glue I should use to re under-mount the sink and whether or not it's a standard B&Q/Homebase type thing, please?

Thanks!

I would use white Sikaflex 291. About the same price as a decent silicone sealant, but far stronger, and will better withstand shock loads as the boat pounds in a seaway.

Almost any question involving "what sealant/adhesive" will invirably have "Sikaflex" in the answer. I always have a tube of 291 handy! You will be amazed what can be glued rather than fixed with screws and bolts - assuming you don't want to take it off in a hurry later.
