Photo looks very iffy where are the guard rails etc?

This was during the ISAF World Match Racing series (in Germany I think). Stanchions and guard wires are just a nuisance to such consummate professionals. Perhaps they'll remove the stanchion bases next time as well! Here is another from Sailinganarchy.com

Thats how the keels are fixed on - length of line up through the hull; and deck with a knot tied round the stanchion base. Give the keel a gentle nudge and it drops off pulling the stanchion through the high tech cardboard of the deck and out through the bottom of the hull. If the crewman isnt careful he will get pulled through the deck too. By his grundies.
