Peregrine has to be dried out between tides, cleaned and antifouled. That probably means one low water to clean and antifoul on the next. As I posted before I am looking for something a bit harder than Cruiser Uno that mainly rubs off in the mud. CU does however claim that you can immerse immediately its touch dry.
I checked with Seago regarding their stuff and they were very non committal... Flag say its OK but their stuff requires 2 coats although their tech details say 6 hours between coats. Others say er..... dunno
Question. Who else dries out between tides to AF and what do you use?

Can't comment on antifouling between tides, but I usually slap a thick coat on the bottom (underside) of the keel while she's in the slings just before being lowered into the water. I was dubious about the value of doing this as there is next to no time for it to dry before launching. However, I forgot to do it one year and had a spectacular crop of mussels at lift out as a result, accounting for the loss of over half a knot by the end of the season. The message must therefore be that even if the AF has not completely dried before immersion it still does its job to a certain extent. AF was XM or Seago cheapo stuff.

Antifouling can be quite versatile regarding immersion but the manufacturers will only give you instructions to get the best out of them.
If you immerse too quickly they will not harden and be very susceptible to damage. Having said that you can often get away with it in an area that is not too vulnerable such as the bottom of the keel. Most important is to wash with fresh water before application to remove salt and then give it as long as possible before immersion. Less than 1 hour is really pushing your luck. 2 hours is far better.
Part of the reason for 24 hours is to allow the paint film to harden sufficiently to not be damaged by the strops when lifting in - not a problem when you dry out between tides

Yes... Done the same myself but in this case Peregrine will have to go back on a mud berth straight after and I am worried the abrasion will take most of it off again.

Oh. Thanks! Which one do you use? Was thinking of Performance Extra as its harder and more likely not to wear off in mud. Also do you manage 2 coats in between tides (cos they say 6 hours overcoating time) or do you find one coat per season OK?
