Another Another Whailing Ship rammed (Video)Ship rammed (Video)

I think the press coverage has gone to their heads after the Ady Gill, now trying to maximise on their self made misfortune, why would they want to video the collision, it looks staged, this should be treated as propoganda, why would they want to be so close as a collision is unavoidable, I would be looking to ask the skiper of the greenies ship what their intention was and to prosecute him for being a danger to himself and others.

What are the survey ships doing wrong at that moment in time?, playing chicken with them does nothing but harm the greenies cause but I suppose to some the Japanese will always be at fault.

Im not saying I agree with whaleing but then I dont agree that this is the way to highlight a crusade.

The end of that you tube video is an incident from last year btw, not the same incident as the first bit of footage, although I wouldn't be surprised if it happened in a similar manner. Not sure if thats what you were refering to when mentioning the wakes.

If anyone has watched the series on them they'll probably know just how incompetent the sea shepherd are as seamen. It's quite incredible that someone hasn' been seriously injured on board one of their vessels. No doubt we'll soon hear some more amazing comments from Paul Watson, hopefully they'll be as entertaining as the time he was "shot". Can't see it's doing much to help their cause.

Amazing, isn't it;After the Ady Gil affair, sensible people are still hooked and waiting to see what "misfortune" will be unleashed on the media. WHY do we still find this c**p fascinating as a topic??? They have achieved a major media coup and we are still keeping it alive by contributing to it. This is my last posting on this particular topic.

I guess the fascinating thing to me is being able to watch a collision , a very rare occurrence.

I am amazed that two objects 1200 tons each can collide at speed and sail away with almost no damage.

A couple of years ago a yacht sailed into me , I had to peel him off the side of my hull and there was no damage to either boat (bit of T cut).

last year I saw a Yacht sail into a Frigate , no serious damage was done.

I know damage can be done when you hit a solid object like a Quay side but boats can move in the water, like hitting a sponge.

I am aware there are some exceptions and sinkings but colliding with a boat doesnt seem as bad as hitting a quayside.
