This time I've managed to come across some new, never aired before pics of the new Absolute 52 interior.

I'm sure you agree she looks Absolutely stunning. Nice to see a different wood being used instead of the usual Cherry! And add to that, this Italian beauty i is coming in around £60k cheaper than the equivalent British brands, she's sure to be a winner.

Enjoy! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Al,

Those pics are stunning! I love her. My only worry is how quick the 'Contemporary Interior' will date! That bird on the stern looks tasty as well...will she be at SIBS????

Trev, she looks an Absolute winner!!!!

What do I think? That wood looks like cheap 1970s formica!

Otherwise a good looking boat with an even better looking attachment on the bathing platform.

Superb innovative design, wonder what the wood/woods are.
Ideal boat for a window cleaner. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I love the oak on the floor, and the lightness of the interior. I am not so convinced by the tiger stripe wood though. I am sure it looks great now, but I think it might date the boat very quickly. ARe there any other options trev?

Layout and design looks first class though - I live the glass in the HT!!!!

She won't be at SIBS, She is being officially launched to the world at Cannes boat show, which i think overlaps slightly with SIBS. But at SIBS, we get the world exclusive of the new 47/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This boat look brilliant but the recent pics of the 47HT didn't seem to do it justice.

I still like the 45 though. Hmmm?... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Nah, the new boat doesn't leave the factory until tomorrow!

Nothing doing on the other front till about 8.00pm this evening. Then chances are I will be kicked out and called as and when it all kicks off /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Mrs B did say she wasn't so sure it was a good idea this morning, I think she is a bit scared. I did point out it was a little late for second thoughts.

Sorry for thread drift

Hi Al, hope the holiday is going well /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey man you'll be after Hugo's job next /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Very proud bunny I am too, she has turned out even better than we hoped and sea trials last two weeks ago went really well and we managed to crack just over 33 knts with IPS 600's in swealtering heat just off Cannes.

Oh yes the Absolute girls were just well, erm, absolutely gorgeous /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif (note to Mrs N, I was the pinacle of absolute gentlemanliness! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) mind you couldn't be anything else with Mrs N directing operations!.

Re the wood, were not sure why it looks so striking in the photos it really is a lot more subtle than that but perhaps the strong and blazing sunlight that day did funny things with it cus it sure as heck doesn't look so in your face as that in real life.

There is an option to have blinds in the roof although we didn't find any problem once the doors were closed and the air con was whacked up, the glass is that new fangled mirror stuff that looks dark on the outside but from inside it looks quite clear so I guess it reflects alot of the heat.

Anyway our demo one arrives straight after Dusseldorf and wil be at Hamble so any forum chums want to come and have a play I'll be looking for any excuse to get out and have a zip about /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jez,

You are quite right, that bird beats the boat hands down! She reminds me of a Lady I met in the Grande Bretagne in Athens. She was with a Fat old Geezer and was waiting for him at the bar. Turns out she was Italian and was for hire.......her rate was Euro2500 a day or only Euro6000 for a weekend!

He had hired her for 5 days.....and was American! Been on a cruise with Wifey, both got off at Athens, She flew home and he was staying for 'work!'. Got to say I thought she was a little indiscrete but she thought I was a potential customer!

Anyway back to boats......It is still very Yummy!

Hmm. The smallish saloon seating and galley opposite looks a bit like the downstairs of a 37' sport cruiser, but of course it opens on to the aft deck so quite good as a day boat, but why have three big double cabins on a day boat? If its a stay on board for 6 people then i hope it doesn't rain 'cos they'll be a bit cramped in that saloon. I suppose like all boats it'll suit some and not others depending on how they want to use it. Not sure about the stripey wood, but I love the dash, really classy.

The wood looks like it belongs in the design mag "wallpaper*". It's evocative of the classic Ray and Charles Eames chair but I do think would be a bold option for most buyers, simply because it has the potential to date quickly. I would be prepared to speculate that it is just designed to look spectacular (which it does) on the show boat and that there will be a more conservative option made available.

Thanks Al. Nice pics, taken between the Lerins islands off Cannes. Love the stripey wood (it's zebrano) - I'd happily order that. But it needs to be grain matched and they've done a lousy job - see 2nd from last pic, around that door. It looks like they tried to grain match, but screwed up, ugh!

Love the dash too - very nice. But needs all those switches moving (they can't all be important, not tha many) to make space for 2 screens becuase no-one drives that type of boat on one screen any more, and autopilot located nearer helmsman

Got any layout drawings? Pictures of the bathrooms?

Top marks to Absolute though, for making stuff like this when such a young company
