Ok so i am still learning and grateful for the help given so far....

an earlier thread has put the s***s up me.
someone had anodes which were disapearring in a few months. and there was discussion that the boat might sink had it not been noticed.

so you check them every time, but if you are away for a while....god forbid work should really get in the way of boating......

it seems a bit dire to lose anodes which could allow water ingress.
i would hate to be in Holland and find the boat was sinking.....i packed up smokin

It has been known that anodes disintergrate in three months, but usually six to twelve months. Never heard of a boat sinking!

What you need is my new. Mucky Farter Internationally Patented Stainless Steel anodes, guarateed to last forever.
We are still working on the design but should hopefully be available shortly. However the new improved Mucky Farter Boat remover is selling well and there are many here who will testify to the results. Also available is the renown forum flag. Which if mounted on a suitably long pole, will still be visible even if you do sink. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I have known andoe studs which go through the hull to be eaten once the anodes have gone, that can leave a 10mm hole. Always check the anodes as new props or legs cost a lot more than a set of anodes, if in doubt get a diver to check them

i paricularly like the rubber props..previous thread. the run from Kings Lynn up river is fraught with danger so they will save me a fortune and i should be able to go up on the lowest tide. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

i have seen talk of the flag.
Does it really exist?
where do i get one?
