anodes

can anyone give some info on anodes ? i put my boat in the water in june and took her out last week. the anodes seem to have turned to a pulp five months from new
i just wondered how long they last and do any more get fited apart from the two i have on the hull?

How long they last depends on so many variables that there really isn't standard time for them to last. The fact that they have gone just shows that they are doing the job, as long as there is no damage to metal work they are protecting.

Adding additional is certainly an option if you want to leave it in for more than 5 months
