Hi everyone, I need some expert advice. Have just taken my boat out the water for the first time, she'll be cleaned, polished and anti fouled. I was glad to see all my anodes were doing their job (I counted 12 in total) and will be replaced.
The two anodes on the rudder were especially worn down, almost nonexistent. I don't think I could go another full year without replacing them mid year. So what are the feelings of everyone, for and against, of using larger anodes? For example would they affect the steering.
The boat is a single engine Benneteau Swift Trawler 34

I guess this will be dependent on how big the anodes you fit are but I have anodes on my rudders and use pretty low profile ones so as not to impact on steerage. Also surprised to hear you have 12 anodes!!! I have six on my 38 footer which I thought was belt and braces!

Yes low profile is a good idea.
There is one on the stern and one on the end of the shaft. Two on the rudder, one each side of each trim tab (i.e. four), two on the stern thruster and two on the bow thruster. Twelve in total!
