Purchased, the boat autumn 2012, bringing her home spring 2013. I am about to dry her out , scrub off and touch up the anti-foul, in preparation for the summer cruise.
I'll also check the anodes. Then I thought.... actually what's the situation with the anodes?

Can anyone tell me what the anode situation is. That is, is it the usual set up - pear shape anode affixed to the hull, or, is there also an anode on the propeller shaft?

First boat that you might refer to as modern and bigger. Built 2001.

Can't find any reference within the Beneteau paperwork provided/handed over.

Anyone assist?

Thanks in advance

Si

There is a shaft anode.
It is a Beneteau type and bolts to end of prop nut. The size is 30mm.
Not sure if there will also be a pear anode as I know this was retro fit on a few

Prop nut types are usually pretty small so may need fairly frequent replacement. http://www.anodeoutlet.co.uk/product/164/cman230/

A shaft anode might be a better option if its possible to fit one

If there is a hull anode there must be bonding in place to connect it electrically to the shaft and prop.
