Well I suppose they were pretty angry before they died..

Went down to the boat today to check everything was OK after being away working for a couple of weeks and found a filthy mess of bird **** and feathers all through the boat along with the corpses of four little yellow and green birds- one half eaten.

The boat is ashore and the only way in for them I could see was the prop shaft aperture - prop engine and gearbox are all removed. It's now got an anti bird rag stuffed in the hole....

I'd watch out if I were you, whatever ate them might still be lurking about.

Yes that briefly crossed my mind but I don't think they would be likely to crawl into holes, they are generally the type of bird that lives in hedge rows. They would also be more accurately described as green & yellow rather than yellow & green.Green being the more dominant colour........that Siskin looks like a more likely candidate but the write up says it is a tree top dweller so I would have thought that again it would be unlikely to be found down holes?Maybe a blue tit?
