We have an Andersen Line Tender fitted as part of the roller furling main mechanism. The Andersen instructions state that the Line Tender is only suitable for use with 12mm line; however, when using 12mm braid on braid as a continuous loop, the splice is inevitably slightly thicker than 12mm and it takes an extra tug to get that part of the furling line around the drum of the tender. I wonder if 10mm would be better, but I am concerned it wouldn't have enough grip on the drum to stop a reefed main unfurling at the wrong moment. Anyone tried using 10mm on an Andersen Line Tender?
